How to Turn on the Biometric Reader on Windows 7

1. Click 'Start.'
2. Click 'Control Panel,' then click 'Biometric Devices.'
3. Click 'Use your fingerprint with Windows' in the window that appears.
4. Type your administrative password in the box when prompted and click 'OK.' A screen will appear with a picture of two hands. Click on the finger of the right or left hand that you would like to calibrate with your biometric reader.
5. Swipe the finger you clicked on across your computer's biometric reader. Swipe it again after the entry 'Reading 1' turns green. Swipe your finger a third time after the entry 'Reading 2' turns green.
6. Click 'Finish' when all three reading entries have turned green. You will be returned to the finger selection screen. Repeat the process for any other fingers you wish to calibrate with the biometric reader.
7. Click 'Finish' when you're done.
