How to Set Up a Screensaver in Windows 7

1. Open the 'Start' menu and type 'screen saver,' then click 'Change screen saver' from the results list.
2. Click the pull-down menu below the 'Screen saver' label and select your preferred screensaver from the list.
3. Click 'Preview' to preview your screensaver. This verifies you have the proper screensaver selected.
4. Type a number in the 'Wait' field below the screensaver selection menu. This is the number of minutes the system must be idle before the screensaver is displayed.
5. Place a check mark in 'On resume, display logon screen' if you wish to log in again after Windows has entered screensaver mode. This security feature requires users to authenticate after the system has been idle, ensuring the user is returning to his proper account.
6. Click 'OK' to save and activate the changes to the screensaver configuration.
