How to Uninstall Google Chrome Manually in Windows 7


1. Click the 'Start' icon on the Windows desktop taskbar, then select 'Control Panel' on the right side of the Start menu.
2. Click 'Appearance and Personalization' and then select 'Folder Options.' Select the 'View' tab in the dialog box. Click the check box beside 'Hide Extensions for Known File Types' to untick and deselect this option.
3. Launch your Web browser. Navigate to the Google Chrome Help manual uninstallation page.
4. Right-click the hyperlinked text that reads 'this link' in Step 2 of the uninstallation instructions. Click 'Save Target As' or 'Save Link As' in the context menu. Type 'remove.reg' into the file name input field, then select 'All Files' from the Save as Type drop-down menu. Set 'Desktop' as the save location for the file.
5. Exit your Web browser.
6. Double-click the downloaded 'remove.reg' file on the desktop. Click 'Yes' in the confirmation pop-up window, then click 'OK.'
7. Click the 'Start' icon on the desktop taskbar and then enter the following command in the Search box at the bottom of the Start menu: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google.
8. Click the 'Google' folder in the search results. Select the 'Chrome' folder, then press 'Delete' on your computer keyboard to uninstall Google Chrome.
