How to Use Microsoft's Text
Windows 7 and Vista
1. Open the Windows Control Panel by clicking 'Start' and then 'Control Panel.'
2. Open the Ease of Access Center by clicking 'Ease of Access' in the Control Panel window and then clicking 'Ease of Access Center.'
3. Use Windows' text-to-speech function by clicking 'Start Narrator.'
4. Configure Microsoft's text-to-speech further, if desired, by clicking 'Use the Computer without a Display' under 'Explore All Settings' in the Ease of Access Center window and clicking 'Set Up Text To Speech.'
Windows XP
5. Open the Narrator by clicking 'Start,' 'All Programs,' 'Accessories,' 'Accessibility' and then 'Narrator.'
6. Use the text-to-speech function by clicking 'Announce Events on Screen' in the Narrator window.
7. Configure Microsoft's text-to-speech further, if desired, by clicking 'Start' and 'Control Panel,' double-clicking 'Speech' and then clicking the 'Text-To-Speech' tab.
