How to Set Up a Bluetooth Headset As the Main Mic for Your Computer

1. Place your Bluetooth headset in 'discovery' mode. Most headsets are placed in discovery mode by holding their main control button until the headset's indicator light turns a solid blue. Check the headset's manual for specific instructions if this doesn't work for you.
2. Open the 'Start' menu on your computer and click 'Devices and Printers.' Click the 'Add a device' button near the top of the window. Windows then searches for and displays wireless devices that are available to connect. Your headset should be listed.
3. Select the headset and click 'Next.' Input the headset's security passkey if prompted. Most headsets use '0000.' Again, check the headset's manual if this key doesn't work for you.
4. Open 'Control Panel' from the 'Start' menu once the headset has been paired. Click 'Hardware and Sound,' then 'Manage audio devices' in the 'Sound' section.
5. Go to the 'Recording' tab, select your headset from the list of devices, and click the 'Set Default' button.
