How to Install Asus X83B Webcam Drivers for Windows7


1. Click on 'Start,' type 'devmgmt.msc' into the search bar and press 'Enter.' The Device Manager appears.
2. Double-click on the 'Imaging devices' selection from the list. Right-click the 'WebCam' device below the selection and click 'Properties.' A Properties dialog box appears.
3. Click on the 'Details' tab and locate the 'Value' field. This lists the device identification number, or PID code.
4. Open your Web browser and visit support.asus.com/download. Type in 'Camera' into the 'Option 2 Model Name Search' section. Click 'Model Search.'
5. Click on 'Camera.' Click the 'OS' drop-down menu and select 'Windows 7 32bit' or 'Windows 7 64bit,' depending on the version of Windows 7 installed on your computer.
6. Click the '+' icon next to the resulting list of camera drivers to expand the selection. Search through the list of drivers and match the PID code from your Webcam, found in Step 3, to the PID code for a driver in the list.
7. Click the 'Global (DLM)' download link beneath the selected driver. Save the file to your computer's desktop.
8. Right-click the 'WebCam' device in the Device Manager and select 'Uninstall.' Restart your computer.
9. Right-click the downloaded driver folder and select 'Extract All.' Select your desktop as the extraction destination.
10. Click 'Start,' type 'devmgmt.msc' into the search bar and press 'Enter' to return to the Device Manager. Navigate back to the Webcam device, right-click it and select 'Properties.' Click the 'Driver' tab.
11. Click the 'Update Driver' button; the 'Update Driver' wizard appears. Click the 'Browse my computer for driver software' selection, then click 'Browse' and navigate to the extracted driver folder on your desktop.
12. Click 'Next' twice, then 'Close.' Restart your computer.
