How to Disable Internet Explorer Add
Temporarily Disable Internet Explorer 7 and 8 Add-Ons
1. Open Internet Explorer and then click the 'Start' button in the lower-left corner of your screen.
2. Click 'All Programs' in the Start menu.
3. Click 'Accessories' and then click 'System Tools.'
4. Click 'Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).' Add-ons will be disabled in your current Internet Explorer browsing session and in that session only. Internet Explorer add-ons will be enabled in any Internet Explorer sessions you open outside of your current browsing session.
Permanently Disable Internet Explorer 8 Add-Ons
5. Open a new Internet Explorer session.
6. Click 'Tools' in the Internet Explorer toolbar.
7. Click 'Manage Add-ons.'
8. Click 'All add-ons' that appears beneath 'Show.'
9. Select the add-on that you want to permanently disable. After you make your selection, click 'Disable.' Repeat this process until you have disabled all of the add-ons that you want to permanently disable. Click 'Close' when you have finished removing add-ons.

10. Click the 'Start' icon in the lower-left corner of your screen.
11. Click 'Internet Explorer.'
12. Click 'Tools.' Hold your mouse pointer over 'Manage Add-ons' and then click 'Enable or Disable Add-ons.'
13. Click 'Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer' beneath the 'Show' section.
14. Select the add-on that you no longer want to appear in your version of Internet Explorer. Click 'Disable.' Repeat this process until you have disabled all of the add-ons that you want to permanently disable. Click 'OK' when you have finished removing add-ons.
