How to Change a User in Group Policy on Windows7

1. Click the start menu button and type 'gpedit.msc' into the search box. Hit 'Enter.' The 'Logical Group Policy' editor will open, giving you access to computer configuration and user configuration.
2. Double-click 'User Configuration' in the right-hand 'Local Computer Policy' window.
3. Select which user policy to view and/or change under 'User Configuration': Software Settings, Windows Settings and Administrative Templates.
4. Edit the policy settings under each 'User Configuration' subheading. If, for example, you decide to edit the 'Security Settings' under 'Windows Settings,' you will need to double-click a specific 'Public Key Policy,' make changes to that policy and then click 'Apply' to save your changes.
