How to Remove a Genuine Windows Reminder


1. Press the 'Ctrl,' 'Shift' and 'Esc' keys at the same. This will launch the Task Manager. Click the 'Processes' tab. Select 'wgatray.exe' and click 'End Process.'
2. Reboot your PC. Press 'F8' at the boot screen in succession until the Advanced Boot Options Menu appears. Scroll down to 'Safe mode' and press 'Enter.'
3. Click 'Start' and 'Control Panel.' Navigate the following folder path: C://Windows/System32
4. Right-click 'wgatray.exe' and click 'Delete.' Exit Windows Explorer. Open the Recycle Bin and select 'Empty the Recycle Bin.' Exit the Recycle Bin.
5. Click 'Start' and 'Run.' Type 'regedit' in the dialog box and click 'OK.' This will open the Registry Editor.
6. Navigate the following registry path:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MicrosoftWindows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify
7. Right-click 'WgaLogon' in the 'Notify' folder and click 'Delete.' Confirm the removal of the registry entry. Exit the Registry Editor.
