How to Delete an Unidentified Public Network in Windows 7


1. Click the 'Start' button on the Windows 7 taskbar and click the 'Search' box. Type 'mmc' in the 'Search' box and tap the 'Enter' key. The 'Microsoft Management Console' window will appear.
2. Click the 'File' menu, then 'Add/Remove Snap-in,' 'Group Policy Object Editor' and 'Add.'
3. Click 'Local computer,' then click 'OK' twice to save the setting.
4. Click 'Computer Configuration,' 'Windows Settings,' then click 'Security Settings.' Click 'Network List Manager Policies' and then double-click 'Unidentified networks.'
5. Click the 'Private' radio button, then 'Apply.' Click 'OK' to save the settings.
