How to Print to PaperPort
Windows XP, 2000, Me, 98
1. Install the PaperPort software and restart the computer. Exit out of all currently running software applications. Click the 'Start' menu and then select the 'Run' icon.
2. Click the 'Browse' button and navigate to the 'PaperPort' directory. This is usually located on the 'C' drive under the 'Program Files' directory and inside the 'Scansoft' directory.
3. Find the file named 'pptd40nt.exe' and double-click on it. The PaperPort print driver will load silently in the background. Note that the '.exe' extension may or may not show up, depending on the current Windows settings.
4. Close out of all the currently open windows and open a text document using a PDF viewer or other text processing software application, such as Notepad, Microsoft Word or OpenOffice.
5. Click 'File' and open a text document from the hard drive, then click 'File' again and select the 'Print' command.
6. Click on the 'PaperPort' icon listed under the 'Select Printer' area to designate printing to PaperPort, then click the 'Print' button to begin printing the document to PaperPort.

7. Press the 'Ctrl' + 'Alt' + 'Del' keys to open the Task Manager. Click to select the 'Processes' menu, then end all currently running processes associated with Cyberlink.
8. Install the PaperPort software, version 11 or later, and reboot the computer.
9. Load a document with a PDF viewer or another type of text editing software. Click the 'File' menu and select the 'Print' command. Select 'PaperPort' as the printer and click 'Print' to print to PaperPort.
