How to Extend the Taskbar to a Secondary Monitor Using Windows 7
1. Click the Windows 'Start' button and select 'Control Panel.' Click 'Appearance and Personalization' and then click the 'Personalization' link to open a window. Click 'Display Settings' to open your monitor settings.
2. Click 'Change Display Settings' on the left side of the screen. Click the monitor icon labeled '2' in your list of monitors. Windows will automatically detect the second monitor on your computer.
3. Select 'Extended' from the 'Display' drop-down box. Click 'Apply' to apply the settings immediately. Notice that your display extends the taskbar across the two monitors.
4. Click 'Yes' to confirm that you want to keep the extended monitor settings. Click 'OK' in the main properties window.
