How to Use System Information in Windows XP

1. Click on 'Start' in the lower left-hand corner of the desktop screen. Then select 'All Programs, Accessories, System Tools and System Information.'
2. Tap the plus sign next to the topic in the list of the left side of the screen to expand the list. The sub-items for that topic will become visible. In some cases there will be further sub-items that can be examined by clicking on more plus signs.
3. Choose the topic in the sub-item list to examine those properties. This will change the view in the right side of the box on the form.
4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 as needed to continue examining other parts of the system.
5. Select 'File,' then 'Exit' or the click on the 'X' in the upper right-hand corner of the form to close the System Information form.
