How to Resolve Runtime Errors With Windows

1. Repair corrupt registries by performing a system restore. Click on the Start menu and select 'All Programs.' Click on 'Accessories' and then 'System Tools.' Select 'System Restore.' Click on 'Restore my computer to an earlier time' and hit 'Next.' Select a restore point on a date before you started noticing these runtime errors. Please note that system restore will not affect any personal files. It only affects system files, computer registries and settings.
2. Remove runtime errors from your Internet Explorer Web browser. Click on 'Tools' and choose 'Internet Options.' Hit the 'Advanced' tab. Check the box beside 'Disable script debugging (other)' under browsing. Click on 'Apply' and then 'OK.'
3. Rearrange your files on your hard disk using 'Disk Defragmenter.' Runtime errors may occur if the files on your computer are not easily accessible. Click on 'Disk Defragmenter' under 'System Tools' from Step 1. Click on the tab 'Disk Defragmenter' tab and hit 'Degfragment.'
4. Remove viruses off your computer. Computer viruses and other malware can give you frequent runtime errors. Use the anti-virus program that is pre-installed on your computer and run a complete scan. Use the on-screen guided prompts to remove the virus(es). If you do not have an anti-virus program, it is recommended you get one as soon as possible. Avira, Norton and AVG offer free downloads.
5. Remove suspicious programs. In other words, remove any program from your system that you do not recall installing or do not use anymore. Click on 'Control Panel' from the Start Menu. Double-click on 'Add or Remove Programs.' Scroll down the list and locate any suspicious programs. Single-click on each of them and click on the 'Change/Remove' button. Click on 'Remove' to confirm.
6. Update your operating system. Runtime errors may occur if your Windows OS is too outdated. Click on the Start menu and select 'Windows Update.' Wait patiently as Windows installs all the necessary updates. Restart your computer after the install.
