How to Remove a Dual Boot Screen From Windows XP

1. Click the Windows Start button and select 'Control Panel.' In the Control Panel, double-click the 'System' icon. This opens the main system configuration window for the operating system.
2. Click the 'Advanced' tab in the system window. On this screen, click the button labeled 'Settings' in the section named 'Startup and Recovery.'
3. View the section labeled 'Default operating system.' This is the operating system that will load once you disable the dual boot screen. Select an operating system you want to boot by default. In this example, change it to Windows XP.
4. Enter '0' in the text box labeled 'Display list of operating systems for.' This is the number of seconds you want the dual boot screen to stay up until you choose an operating system. Setting it to 0 disables the screen.
5. Click the 'OK' button. Reboot the machine and the default operating system loads without the dual boot screen.
