How to Change a Palm OS to Windows OS

1. Download and install the Windows Mobile Device Center (see Resources). Click on the link and download the file to your computer. Once the file is downloaded, open it on your computer and follow the installation instructions.
2. Connect your cell phone to your computer. Cell phones usually come with a USB cable that allows them to connect and sync with computers. Connect your Palm cell phone with your computer using its USB cable.
3. Sync your Palm cell phone to the Windows Mobile Device Center. When your Palm cell phone connects to your computer, your computer asks you what you want to do with the phone. Select the option to open the phone in the Windows Mobile Device Center. Once the phone opens in the Windows Mobile Device Center, choose the option to sync the device.
4. Replace the Palm OS with the Windows OS. In the Windows Mobile Device Center, you have the option to download new updates to programs and operating systems. Check for the latest update of the Windows cell phone operating system, download the update and sync that update to your Palm cell phone. This replaces your current Palm OS with a Windows OS.
