How to Create a Windows XP Repair CD
1. Download the Recovery Console ZIP file from the link in Resources.
2. Unzip the download upon completion. A variety of programs can help you do this, including the popular WinZip, which you can download from the link in Resources. Upon unzipping you will see a window containing the ZIP file's contents, in this case an ISO disc image containing the Recovery Console data.
3. Save the unzipped ISO file to your hard drive.
4. Insert a blank CD into your computer.
5. Burn the ISO file as a data CD. Be sure to put nothing but the ISO file on the disc. When the burning completes, eject the disc and put it aside in case of emergency.
