How to Use Knoppix to Fix Windows

1. Download the Knoppix ISO from the Knoppix downloads page (found in the Resource list). Save the ISO to your desktop.
2. Download IMGBurn from its website (see the Resource list) and save the program file to your desktop.
3. Double click the IMGBurn program file to launch the program. In the dialog box, locate the newly downloaded Knoppix ISO. Select the ISO and make sure you have a blank DVD in your optical drive. Click 'Burn.'
4. Remove the disk from the drive when the burn process is complete. Place the DVD in the optical drive of the computer that needs troubleshooting. Power on the PC and press any key, when prompted, to boot from the DVD.
5. Use the registry edit, partitioning and file explorer tools inside Knoppix to troubleshoot and fix your machine.
6. Reboot your PC and remove the DVD from the drive.
