How to Start Print Spooler With Error 1077
Run Microsoft Fix it tool
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Navigate to support.microsoft link (look in Resources).
3. Download and run the Microsoft Fix it tool by clicking on the 'Fix this problem' link.
Reset Spooler Files
4. Shut down and restart your computer. Press 'F8' on startup to load into the 'Advanced Options' screen, select 'Safe Mode' and press 'Enter.' Log into the computer through safe mode.
5. Click 'Run,' and type 'C:\Windows\System32\Spool.' A folder opens. Select all files in this folder, and press 'Delete.' When finished, close the window.
6. Click 'Run,' and type 'C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Drivers\w32x86.' A folder opens. Select all files in this folder, and press 'Delete.' When finished, close the window. You must restart your computer for the files to regenerate themselves.
Restart Print Spooler
7. Go to 'Start' and 'Run,' type 'cmd,' and click 'OK.'
8. Type at the command prompt 'net stop spooler,' and hit 'Enter.'
9. Type at the command prompt 'net start spooler' and hit 'Enter.'
10. Type 'exit' and hit 'Enter' to close out the command prompt.
