How to Remove the FakeAlert Virus 5492
1. Open the Task Manager by right-clicking on the taskbar and selecting 'Task Manager' from the context menu that opens. Click the 'Processes' tab, right-click the process named 'rpnqrdnm.exe' and select 'End Process,' confirming that you wish to end the process. Repeat this with 'runsrv32.exe,' 'tcpservice2.exe,' 'susp.exe' and 'users32.exe.'
2. Open your desktop's 'Start' menu, type 'regedit' and press 'Enter' to open the Registry Editor. Expand the 'HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT' category, then locate an item labeled 'clsid.' Click the value '{60e2e76b-60e2e76b-60e2e76b-60e2e76b-60e2e76b}' and press the 'Delete' key on your keyboard to delete it.
3. Click 'Start,' type 'cmd' and press 'Enter' to open a command prompt. Type 'regsvr32 -u zserv.dll' and press 'Enter' to unregister the .dll file. Repeat this process with 'wstart.dll,' 'winflash.dll,' 'udpmod.dll,' 'runsrv32.dll,' 'questmod.dll,' 'pynix.dll,' 'jao.dll' and 'bridge.dll.'
4. Click 'Start' and click 'Computer' or 'My Computer' to launch Windows Explorer. Using the search function built into Explorer, type 'bridge.dll' and wait while Explorer finds the file. Select it and press 'Delete' to delete it. Repeat this with 'jao.dll,' 'pynix.dll,' 'questmod.dll,' 'rpnqrdnm.exe,' 'runsrv32.dll,' 'runsrv32.exe,' 'susp.exe,' 'tcpservice2.exe,' 'udpmod.dll,' 'users32.exe,' 'winflash.dll,' 'wstart.dll' and 'zserv.dll' to remove all of the FakeAlert files.
