How to Edit a TRP Video
1. Download the proper version of Handbrake for your Windows, Mac or Linux computer from the creator's website and install it to your computer (see Resources.) Open the TRP video file in Handbrake by clicking 'Source,' navigating to the folder that contains the TRP and double-clicking the file. Pull down the 'Title' menu, select any video stream that appears in the title list, and make changes to the video using the basic tools provided in the lower pane of the screen to change the length of the clip or delete it from the stream. Then save the project by choosing a folder by clicking 'Browse,' choosing a video format under 'Container' and pressing 'Start.'
2. Get Video Converter for Mac for your Mac computer add it to your Mac 'Applications' folder (see Resources.) Pull down the 'File' menu, click 'Add Video Files,' find the TRP video you want to edit and click 'Load.' Select 'HD MOV' as the output-file format. Once the video has been converted into HD MOV, pull the video into Mac's native iMovie to edit like a standard MOV file.
3. Install the 4VideoSoft TRP Video Converter to your Windows computer. You can find the 4VideoSoft TRP Video Converter from the 4VideoSoft website (see Resources.) Once installed, add the TRP video that you want to edit to the application by clicking the 'Add File' button and finding the file in the window that comes up, and then use the 'Trim,' 'Crop' and 'Effects' tools to make changes to the video. Choose AVI or WMV as the output format in the 'Profile' box and press 'Start' to convert the video file to a format compatible with most Windows video applications, including the native movie editor, Windows Movie Maker.
