How to Boot Up a Computer Bypass the Operating System
1. Start the computer. The following steps can only be completed during the computer's booting process.
2. Hit the key or key combination for BIOS access for the type of computer being booted as soon as the boot process starts. The code can be found on the 'Access/Enter Motherboard BIOS' link in the Resources. This is to stop the booting process and enter the BIOS settings screen. Only do this step to access BIOS, not to boot to the command prompt.
3. Press the 'F8' key as soon as the BIOS screen clears. Continue pressing, but not holding down, the 'F8' key until the Windows Boot Manager appears. This bypasses the operating system.
4. Press the up or down arrow keys to choose the option wanted to boot the computer, including continuing to boot the normal operating system.
