How to Restore Your Computer in Safe Mode

1. Turn on or restart your computer and press 'F8' on your keyboard during the power-on self-test procedure (before the Windows logo is displayed). This will bring you to the Windows Advanced Options menu. Select 'Safe Mode' from the list of available choices and press 'Enter.'
2. Log into your Windows account as you normally would by entering your username and password, if applicable. Click 'Start,' 'All Programs,' 'Accessories,' then 'System Tools' and launch 'System Restore.'
3. Click 'Next' once the System Restore wizard launches. The most recent restore points are immediately shown. If you wish to select an older restore point, enable 'Show More Restore Points.' Select any one from the available list and click 'Next' to continue.
4. Click 'Finish' to initialize the System Restore procedure. Once finished, your computer will restart and launch into your regular Windows session.
