Windows Live Messenger Error Code: 8100032D


Causes
The error '8100032D' can be caused when the cache files used by Windows Live Messenger become corrupted. Deleting the cache files will eliminate the error.
Upgrade
Ensure that the latest version of Windows Live Messenger is installed. Check for the latest version at www.download.live.com.
Windows Vista and 7
In Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows 7, configure My Computer or Windows Explorer to display hidden files and folders. Ensure that the Windows Live Messenger is not open. Delete the 'C:\Users\
\App Data\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Contacts' folder, where '

Windows XP
In Microsoft Windows XP, configure My Computer or Windows Explorer to display hidden files and folders. Ensure that Windows Live Messenger is not open. Delete the 'C:\Documents and Settings\

Further Action
If AVG 8.0 anti-virus software is installed on the computer, a further preventative step can be taken to reduce the likelihood of the error reoccurring. Disable 'Instant Messaging Protection' on the 'Instant Messaging' tab of the Web Shield settings.
