Will Crystal Reports XI Run on a 64

64-Bit Compatibility
The first release of Crystal Reports XI does not run on 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows. According to the software's developers, only Crystal Reports XI Release 2 -- version 11.5 of the program -- works on 64-bit versions of Windows, including Vista, XP and Server 2003, but not Windows 2008. To run Release 2 properly, however, you'll need to use Windows' 32-bit mode. You can view and switch the current mode via the Windows Control Panel, in the “System Type” section, under “System and Maintenance” and “Performance Information and Tools.”
System Requirements
Crystal Reports XI Release 2 runs on Microsoft Windows operating systems, including Vista, XP SP2 Professional, and all variations of Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000 SP4. For proper operation, the software requires at least a Pentium III-class processor with a 700-MHz clock speed, 1GB of free disk space, 512MB of RAM and a CD-ROM drive.
Other Compatible Software
Other versions of Crystal Reports XI are fully compatible with 64-bit operating systems. Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 10.5 and Crystal Reports for Visual Studio .NET 10.2 run natively on 64-bit systems. Like Crystal Reports XI Release 2, Crystal Reports 2008 Version 12.1 runs on 64-bit operating systems in 32-bit mode.
Considerations
Though Crystal Reports XI Release 2 comes in Standard, Developer and Professional editions, compatibility and system requirements remain the same across versions. SAP recommends installing all critical patches, available at the company's website, before attempting to run the software. SAP's help website or the knowledge base and forums at the SAP Community Network offer additional assistance.
