My Java Installer Is Corrupt

Errors
When the Java installer is corrupt and won't complete the installation, it usually displays an error code such as 1721, 1722 or 1723. All of these are InstallShield error codes that indicate the installer is corrupt and cannot install Java. The following error code is usually caused by security programs such as anti-viruses and anti-spyware: 'Error 1721. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support or package vendor.' An error code such as '1500' is caused by conflicts created by two installers running at the same time.
Solution
Temporarily disabling security programs and the User Access Control feature allows you to run the Java installer. If the installer is corrupt, an older version of Java is most likely interfering with the installer. Before upgrading to a newer version of Java, uninstall the old copy to reduce the risk of installation problems. 'Programs and Features' in the Control Panel offers the safest and quickest option to uninstall Java. When the uninstall process completes, download Java and run the installer again. If you have more than one MSI-based installers running at the same time, install one program at a time.
Tips
If you're still unable to run the Java installer, download and install the offline installer package, which is especially beneficial if the online installation fails completely. Alternatively, download and run the manual download directly from Java's website to decrease the risk of installation problems.
Testing
If you manage to complete the installation, visit the Java test page to verify whether the programming language is installed properly. If Java is properly installed and working, a flash video displays the following message: 'Your Java is working.' The page also displays the version installed on your computer. If Java isn't working, enable the programming language through your browser or the Java Control Panel located in the Windows Control Panel.
