How to Stop the 30 Second Choice at the Windows Startup


Control Panel
1. Click Windows 'Start,' then click 'Control Panel.' Click 'System and Security.'
2. Click 'System,' then click 'Advanced System Settings.' Click 'Settings' next to 'Startup and Recovery.'
3. Click the checkbox next to 'Time To Display List of Operating Systems' to deselect the box and automatically boot into your default operating system at the dual or multi-boot screen. Click the checkbox and adjust the time, in seconds if you want to shorten or lengthen the time on the screen. Click 'OK' and close the Control Panel.
System Configuration
4. Click Windows 'Start' and type 'msconfig' into the text box at the bottom on the menu. Press 'Enter.'
5. Click the 'Boot' tab. Change the timeout time by typing in a number, in seconds, in the 'Timeout' text field. The number of seconds must be between three and 999. Click 'OK.'
6. Click 'Restart' if you want to immediately restart your computer and apply the new settings. Click 'Exit Without Restart' to apply the new settings the next time you start Windows.
