How to Repair Windows XP on a Compaq N600c Computer

1. Place the Windows disc in your optical drive and restart your computer.
2. Press any key to boot from the CD when prompted, then allow Windows Setup to load. It may take a few minutes.
3. Press 'Enter' at the 'Welcome to Setup' screen, then 'F8' to accept the Terms and Conditions. When you are presented with a list of Windows XP installations, highlight the one that you want to fix, then press 'R.'
4. Wait for Windows Setup to load the necessary files and restart. Ignore the prompt to boot from the CD this time and don't press any key. Allow Windows to go through its normal loading process instead.
5. Complete the repair installation by following the on-screen prompts.
