How to Repair System Error 53 on XP

1. Click on the 'System Error 53' link (see Resources).
2. Click 'View and Request Hotfix Downloads.'
3. Click 'Accept' to the license terms.
4. Check your specific XP operating system, enter your email address and click 'Request Hotfix' to obtain the file. Check your email account and click on the attachment to install the file.
