How to Minimize Windows Media Player 11 to the System Tray


Minimizing Windows Media Player
1. Open Windows Media Player 11. Play the track you want.
2. Right-click into an empty area of the system tray. This is the line at the bottom of your screen containing 'Start' on the left and various other icons including the time on the right. A menu will appear. Hover your mouse over 'Toolbars.' Another menu will appear. Click on 'Windows Media Player.'
3. Go back into Windows Media Player and click on the minimize button that looks like a minus sign in the top right hand corner of the screen. You will see the minimized version appear in the system tray.
4. Click on any of the functions, forward, backward, pause or stop to work Windows Media Player from the minimized version. Click on the button that looks like a minus sign in the top right to see visualizations. Click on the bottom button that looks like two squares on the right hand side to restore the minimized version to full screen. Click on or hover over the arrow on the left to see what is currently playing.
5. Set Windows Media Player to play an album or compilation whilst you work and enjoy easy access to the controls from the system tray.
