How to Get Rid of Microsoft Error Report Pop Up
Turn Turn Off Microsoft Error Reporting in XP
1. In the Windows XP operating system, click the 'My Computer' desktop icon, then select the Properties option listed at the bottom of the pop-up screen. This will call up a screen entitled System Properties with several tabbed options. System Properties can also be reached via the Control Panel, which is one of the options listed when you click the Start button.
2. Click on the tab labeled Advanced (the last tab on the second row). At the bottom right of the Advanced screen is a button labeled Error Reporting.
3. To disable error reporting, check the box labeled 'Disable error reporting.'

4. In Windows Vista, click on the Start button to reach the Control Panel. Click on Problem Reports and Solutions to reach Tasks.
5. Under Tasks, click on Change Settings to produce a screen entitled 'Choose how to check for solutions to computer problems.' Now click on the Advanced Settings link at the very bottom of that screen.
6. At the top of the new screen, check the 'off' box under the heading 'For my problems, problem reporting is:'

7. In Windows 7, click on the Start button and click on the System and Security option. In the System and Security screen, click Action Center.
8. In Action Center, click Change Action Center Settings, then click Problem Reporting Settings.
9. The screen for Problem Reporting Settings offers four options under the heading 'Choose when to check for solutions to problem reports.' The last of these is 'Never check for solutions (not recommended).' If your experience with Windows 7 pop-up boxes is such that you feel comfortable checking this box even though it is not recommended, feel free.
