How to Fix Install Error 1722 ADP

1. Reboot the computer to clear any programs that may be running and preventing the installer package from starting. If an old installation is still trying to run or did not shut down properly, it can cause the new ADP installation to fail with error code 1722.
2. Download a fresh copy of the installation package from APC. If the original package did not download properly or became corrupted, the installation can show an error code 1722 when you try to install it.
3. Install the ADP software on another computer if you have one available. This helps you verify that the problem is isolated to the one computer. If the installation fails on both computers, it is most likely related to the software itself, and you should contact ADP to resolve the problem. If the software installs successfully on the other PC, the problem may be a corrupt Windows installer file.
4. Right-click 'My Computer' and choose 'Explore.' Navigate to C:\Windows\Installer and delete the msi file with the most recent time stamp. You can click the 'Date Modified' column in Windows Explorer to sort the files by date. This forces Windows to use a new version of the Windows installer the next time it tries to install the APC software.
