How to Fix Generic System32
Method 1
1. Click 'Start' and select 'Windows Update.' The 'Windows Update' site opens.
2. Select 'Express Update'
3. Download all the latest updates for your operating system. This will update your outdated drivers; if you are running Windows XP; download the most current service packs.
Method 2
4. Open Internet Explorer or other web browser.
5. Navigate to Support.microsoft (see link in Resources).
6. Look on the page for your operating system and download the Microsoft hot fix for this problem.
Method 3
7. Click 'Start' and 'Run.' The Run dialog box opens.
8. Type 'regedit' in the 'Open' field and click 'OK.'
9. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> SYSTEM >> CurrentControlSet >> Services >> Browser >> Parameters
10. Find 'IsDomainMaster' key.
11. Set its value to False. Restart the computer.
Method 4
12. Click 'Start' and 'Run.' The Run dialog box opens.
13. Type 'cmd' in the 'Open' field and click 'OK.'
14. Type 'netsh' at the command prompt and hit Enter.
15. Type 'winsock' and press Enter.
16. Type 'reset' and press Enter, then type 'Exit.' Restart the computer.
Method 5
17. Restart your computer. On startup hold down the F8 key.
18. Select 'Safe Mode' and press Enter.
19. Log on to your computer and click 'OK' to proceed to Safe Mode dialog box.
20. Open your anti-virus program and run a full virus scan.
21. Restart your computer back into normal mode when done.
