How to Buy Kid Pix Software
1. Check if Kid Pix software is right for your child or children. Broderbund recommends the software for children ages four years and older, and grades K-8.
2. Determine how you are going to use Kid Pix software: home, school classroom or computer lab.
3. Buy the home edition with a single license if you are going to install on just one home computer.
4. Decide if packaging is important to you. If it's not, you can buy a SmartDownload of the software directly from Broderbund, or you can buy it on eBay since sellers can often obtain the software at a discount by selling it sleeve only (see Resources below). If you want the full retail packaging, you can find it both online and in real stores. Read the related eHow 'How to Find Kid Pix Software' for tips on where to look.
5. Buy the school edition if you are going to install on just one classroom computer.
6. Consult your school district's IT person if you want to install Kid Pix on more than one computer in your building or school district. You can buy lab packs, site licensing for 25 to 495 installs, and network licensing. Your IT person will be able to tell you what version you need and how to buy it (see Resources below).
