How to Play Music in Chat Rooms Using Windows 7


1. Right-click on the 'Speaker' icon in the bottom right hand corner of the toolbar on your desktop and select 'Recording Device.'
2. Right-click anywhere in the new window that appears and check the boxes for 'Show Disabled Devices.' Right-click again and check the box for 'Show Disconnected Devices.'
3. Right-click on 'Stereo Mix' and select 'Enable,' then right-click on 'Stereo Mix' again and select 'Set as Default Device.'
4. Right-click on 'Stereo Mix' and select 'Properties.' The 'Stereo Mix Properties' window will appear.
5. Click on the 'Levels' tab and make sure that the sliders are set to between 8 and 10. Keep the window open.
6. Open your chat room and play your music. Adjust the levels up or down in the 'Stereo Mix Properties' window if the sound is too loud or too soft.
