How to Enable a Fingerprint Only Logon
1. Click 'Start,' then 'Control Panel.' Click 'Biometric Devices' from the list. The Biometric Devices window will open.
2. Click the 'Use your fingerprint with Windows' text under 'Biometric Devices.' Enter your Windows password when prompted in the Windows Security dialog box, then click 'OK.' The 'Fingerprint Reader: Enrollment' window will open.
3. Click on a finger on either hand that is displayed in the window. Swipe your finger over the fingerprint reader three times. Click the 'Finish' button on the 'Congratulations' page if the swipes were successful. If they were unsuccessful, re-swipe your finger. The setup wizard will return you to the Enrollment page.
4. Click the 'Finish' button to confirm that the finger you selected for logging in to your computer has been configured. The finger will have a green glow.
5. Press the 'Windows' and 'L' key simultaneously to log out of your account. A fingerprint icon will be displayed instead of the regular Windows login screen. Swipe your finger on the fingerprint reader to log in to the computer.
