How to Fix the Touch Pad Settings on Windows 7
1. Hold the 'Windows Logo' key then press 'R' to open a run command box.
2. Type 'control' in the run box, then press 'Enter' to open the Windows 7 Control Panel.
3. Double-click 'Mouse' to view the Windows Mouse Control Panel.
4. Click the drop-down menu next to 'Devices:' and select your touch pad device from the list.
5. Click the radio button next to 'Right-handed' or 'Left-handed' to change your touch pad's button settings.
6. Click and drag the slider under 'Double Click Speed' to adjust your touch pad's double-click settings.
7. Click the 'Device Settings' tab.
8. Highlight your touch pad device in the 'Devices:' list and click the 'Settings' button.
9. Click an option in the menu on the left side of the settings window to change your touch pad device settings. Depending on your model of touch pad, you can change the way that your touch pad handles tapping, scrolling, pointer motion and touch pad sensitivity.
10. Click 'OK' twice to save your touch pad settings.
