1. Plug a USB key or drive into the computer.
2. Click the 'Start' button, then right-click 'My Computer' and click 'Manage,' and then click 'Device Manager' in the window that appears.
3. Right-click on a USB mass storage device in the list and click 'Uninstall.'
4. Remove the USB key or drive. Reboot the computer. The 'usbstor.sys' driver will be automatically replaced with a fresh copy from the Windows XP driver cache.
