How to Reboot Windows 7 With System Disk Failure

1. Boot the Windows 7 computer and quickly insert the Windows 7 installation disk into the CD/DVD drive. Then press a key on the keyboard when the 'Press any key to boot from CD or DVD' message appears.
2. Click your preferred options in the 'Language to install,' 'Time and currency' and 'Keyboard or input method' box displayed in the window that appears. Click the 'Next' button.
3. Select the 'Repair your computer' item located in the left corner of the window that displays. Then select the Windows 7 operating system item that represents the Windows 7 installation on the computer (there is usually only one entry). Select the 'Next' button.
4. Select 'Startup Repair' in the list of options displayed. 'Startup Repair' will reinstall and/or repair critical system files. Click the 'Finish' button when the process has completed to reboot the computer.
5. Remove the Windows 7 installation disk from the computer on initial boot. The computer will now boot into Windows.
