How to Pair a Jabra BT500 to a Laptop

1. Plug your Jabra BT500 into its power adapter and the power adapter into a wall socket. Let the headset charge fully before you continue. When the light turns from red to green, charging is complete.
2. Turn your laptop's Bluetooth on. Many laptops will have an external switch to turn it on, and have a blue light that will light up when it is on.
3. Click on the circular button at the bottom-left corner of your Windows 7 desktop. Choose 'Control Panel' from the list of options.
4. Select 'View Devices and Printers' under the 'Hardware and Sound' section. A new window will open up listing all of your current devices.
5. Remove your BT500 from the charger and press the white button near the bottom of the headset. The blue light will flash, indicating that the headset is on.
6. Press the pairing button, located on the back edge of the headset just below the volume button, and hold it until the light on the headset remains a solid blue. Your headset is now in pairing mode.
7. Click 'Add a Device' in the toolbar of the window on your laptop. You will see a small pop-up window and after a few seconds, you will see your Bluetooth headset appear there. Click the headset and then click on 'Next.'
8. Enter four zeroes when you are asked for a passkey, and then click 'Done.'
9. Bring up the control panel again and choose 'Hardware and Sound.' Then click on 'Sound.' You will see a listing of all of your audio devices. If your Bluetooth headset does not have a small green checkmark next to it, right click on the icon and choose 'Set as Default Device.' Your headset is now connected to your laptop.
