How to Disable the Keyboard on a ThinkPad

1. Right-click the 'My Computer' icon and click 'Properties.' The icon is typically on your desktop or in your 'Start' menu.
2. Click the 'Device Manager' link; if it's not present (varies with your version of Windows), click the 'Hardware' tab instead. Find the 'Device Manager' button and click it.
3. Click the '+' or arrow next to Keyboards to open the list of all the keyboard drivers installed on your system.
4. Right-click on the laptop's keyboard driver and then click 'Disable.' If you disable the wrong driver you can re-enable it by right-clicking it and selecting 'Enable.'
