HP 3700 Color LaserJet Troubleshooting

Paper Jams
1. Remove all of the paper from the printer's paper drawer. Reach inside the drawer and pull out any stuck pieces of paper inside, taking care to not tear them.
2. Open a fresh package of paper and load it in the drawer, making sure the paper stack does not go above the height tabs in the drawer. Try to print again by pressing the button with the checkmark to determine if the jam was only in the paper drawer area.
3. Take out any paper sitting in the printer's output area. Open the printer's rear pass-through door and pull out any stuck paper in the rollers.
4. Close the pass-through rear door and open the lower rear door. Push down on the two green levers, then pull out any stuck pieces of paper and push the levers back up.
5. Turn the printer off and pull up on the lower rear door as you push on the tab on the left side of the door to remove it from the printer. Pull up both of the blue latches inside the printer and remove the fuser assembly from the inside of the printer.
6. Press the black tabs on the fuser assembly, then lift the tabs up to open the assembly. Pull out any pieces of paper inside, then reinstall the fuser assembly in the printer so it clicks into place. Reinstall the rear door as you push down on the tab on the left side of the door, then turn the printer back on and press the button with the checkmark.
