How to Turn Off the McAfee Security Center

Disable Permanently
1. Right-click on the 'McAfee' software icon in the system's tray on the computer desktop.
2. Select 'Open SecurityCenter'.
3. Click on the 'My Security Center' tab.
4. Click where it says, 'Click here if you want to disable My Security Center'.
Disable Temporarily
5. Right-click on the 'McAfee' icon in the system's tray to launch the McAfee SecurityCenter.
6. Select the 'Advanced' tab and the 'Configure' option.
7. Select 'Files' in the toolbar.
8. Enter a date and time for the McAfee Security Center to turn on again, or let it turn back on when you restart the system.
