Create an Ad Hoc Network
7. Click the 'Start' button and type 'Network and Sharing Center' in the search box at the bottom of the menu.
8. Click 'Set up a connection or network.'
9. Click 'Set up a wireless ad hoc network' in the window that pops up.
10. Click 'Next.'
11. Enter a name for the network on the configuration page. Type this name in the Network name field. This name can be anything of your choosing.
12. Select a security type for the ad hoc network. You can WPA2 Personal or WEP to secure the network. WPA2 is more secure, but WEP is compatible with more devices when sharing a USB mobile broadband connection.
13. Create a security key for the network. It must be between eight and 63 characters long.
14. Click 'Save this network' if you want to be able to restart the ad hoc network quickly in the future. This is helpful if you must regularly share your mobile broadband connection.
15. Click 'Next' to save the network and begin connecting other devices to the wireless network used to share your USB mobile broadband connection.
