How to Remove Error 1500

1. Click the 'OK' button that appears on the Error 1500 message that comes up on the screen. Click the 'X' in the corner of the installation wizard window of the program that you are trying to install. If asked to confirm that you want to stop the installation, click 'Yes.'
2. Complete the installation of the program that is already in the process of installing on your computer. The installation wizard should still be open on the screen if the program is installing. Click the installation wizard from the task bar to pull the installation wizard for the program up on the screen so that you can monitor the installation and know when the process is complete.
3. Stop the installation if you prefer not to complete the installation of the program or want to install the other program first. To stop the program installation, click the 'Cancel' button or press the red 'X' in the corner. Confirm that you want to stop the installation when prompted.
4. Start the installation of the program in which you received the Error 1500 message again. To restart the installation if the program is on CD, go to the 'Start' menu, click 'Computer' and double-click the CD drive to launch the installation wizard. To restart the installation if the program was downloaded, go to the folder on the hard drive that contains the downloaded file and double-click the file to launch the installation wizard.
5. Restart the computer if Error 1500 still comes up when you attempt to install the program. Restarting the computer forces the computer to recognize that the installation of the other program has been stopped. When the computer boots back up, you can launch the installation once again from the CD or the downloaded file.
