How to Kill Winlogon

1. Click 'Start,' then 'Search,' type 'cmd' in the search box and press 'Enter.' This opens the command window.
2. Type in 'taskkill/IM winlogon.exe' at the command prompt and press 'Enter.'
3. Restart your computer and hold down the 'F8' key on your keyboard until you see the boot options menu.
4. Select 'Boot in Safe Mode' and press 'Enter.'
5. Click 'Start' and then click 'Computer.' Double-click on the 'C:' drive to get into it. Locate the 'Program Files' folder and double-click on it to open it. Look for 'winlogon.exe.' Right-click on 'winlogon.exe' and select 'Delete' to remove it from your computer.
6. Restart your computer back to normal mode.
