How to Get a Degree Symbol

1. Move the blinking text cursor to the place where you want to insert the degree symbol.

The numeric keypad is located on the right side of a full size keyboard.
Make sure that the 'Num Lock' function is turned on. This button can be found on the top left corner of the numeric keypad.
3. Press and hold 'Alt.'
4. Use the numeric keypad to type '0176.' The degree symbol will appear.
Mac
5. Move the blinking text cursor to the place where you want to insert the degree symbol.
6. Press and hold 'Option' and 'Shift.'
7. Type the number '8.' The degree symbol will appear.
