Fixing Internal Error 2378
1. Verify that you have an authentic version of Windows, because Microsoft will validate your copy before allowing the download to proceed.
2. Visit the Microsoft Download Support page and search for: Windows Script 5.6 for Windows XP and Windows 2000 (see Resources).
3. Under the yellow page, choose your estimated download time by selecting the type of connection you are using; this will allow dial-up users to determine the time needed more efficiently than simply proceeding with the download.
4. Choose, at the bottom of the yellow box, the language package you would like to download. The default language is English.
5. Click on the 'Continue' button above the options you have just chosen. The continue button is located next to the 'Validation Required' statement at the top of the yellow box in the orange header above the light yellow.
6. Wait for the download to complete and for the patch to install. Reboot your computer after the install has completed.
7. Attempt to reinstall the software that gave you the error. If the message does not reappear, the patch was successful.
