1. Click 'Start' and type 'cmd' (without quotes) in the 'Search' box and press 'Enter.' Alternatively, if you are using a version of Windows prior to Windows Vista, click 'Start' and 'Run' and type 'cmd' (without quotes) into the dialog box and click 'OK.' The Command Prompt opens.
2. Type 'regsvr32 /u twain.dll' (without quotes) into the Command Prompt and press 'Enter.'
3. Click 'Yes' when asked if you are sure that you want to delete twain.dll.
4. Close the Command Prompt and restart your computer.
