How Do I Fix Code 19 Windows XP?


Uninstall and Reinstall the Device Driver
1. Right-click 'My Computer' and select 'Properties.'
2. Click the 'Device Manager' tab and locate the device for which you are receiving a Code 19 error.
3. Double-click the device to open its device Properties window.
4. Click the 'Driver' tab at the top and click 'Uninstall' at the bottom left of the window. Follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Restart your computer. Open the Device Manager and click the 'Action' menu. Select 'Scan for hardware changes.' Follow the on-screen instructions.
Start Your Computer in the Last Known Good Configuration
6. Restart your computer.
7. Press the 'F8' key during startup--before Windows begins to load--to enter the Windows Advanced Options menu.
8. Select 'Last Known Good Configuration' using the arrow keys and press 'Enter.' If you have multiple operating systems on your computer, select 'Microsoft Windows XP' and press 'Enter.'
